The aim of this site is to enable healthcare professionals
throughout the word to share, exchange and discuss information
around the central theme of homeopathy.
The data exchanged on this site will be :
- scientific : information about research and evaluation,
- epidemiological : tracing the risk of epidemics or pandemics
around the word,
- clinical : exchanges between doctors about various pathologies
and their characteristics,
- therapeutic : real-time communication is an indispensable resource
and is of great use for :
- taking stock of the homeopathic remedies indicated for an identified
disease (e.g. for influenza),
|
|
- adapting the prescription to the various clinical forms that express
the patient's individual reactivity,
- evaluating the indications, limits and results of homeopathic treatment
in order to progress in terms of knowledge and effectiveness,
- historical and documentary.
This year the threat of an avian influenza pandemic is prompting all
homeopathic physicians to think about their healthcare strategy.
Is influenza prevention is conceivable ? Which medicines should be
suggested with this aim in mind ? How should the results be assessed ?

This international project was launched by five homeopathics associations :
International Foundation for Clinical Homeopathy (IFCH)
American Institute of Homeopathy (AIH)
The Royal London Homeopathic Hospital (RLHH)
The European Committee for Homeopathy (ECH)
Central Council for Research in Homeopathy (CCRH)
International Foundation for Clinical Homeopathy (IFCH)
The IFCH was set up in 1985 as the FFRH (French Foundation for research into homeopathy)
as part of the Fondation de France (French Foundation).
In 1987 it became an independant body known as the IFRH (The French Institute for research
into homeopathy).
In 2002 the IFCH decided to focus essentially on the teaching of homeopathy throughout the
world, clinical homeopathy based on a rigorous and scientific approach.
It then incorporated the world's foremost school of homeopathy, the CEDH, and in 2005 assimilated
Italy's leading school of homeopathy, the CISDO.
It became the International Foundation for Clinical Homeopathy (IFCH) and currently chooses to
sponsor medical and scientific initiatives that make it possible to integrate evaluated clinical
homeopathy into the heart of medicine.

American Institute of Homeopathy (AIH)
The American Institute of Homeopathy, a 501(C)6 trade association whose membership
comprises allopathic and ostheopathic physicians, dentist, practice nurses and
physicians assistants, has as its putpose the promotion and improvement of homeopathic
medicine and the dissemination of medical knowledge pertaining thereto.
It strives to elevate and improve the standards of homeopathic medical education
while safeguarding the interests of the profession and attaining general recognition
and public acceptance of homeopathy.
Established on 10 April 1844, the year after the death of homeopathy's German founder,
DR C.F Samuel Hahnemann, the AIH is the oldest national medical professional organization
in the United States. The institute has survived the vicissitudes of fortune attendant
upon homeopathy and, upon the whole field of alternative medicine in the United States, and
is still active in a time when society is more welcoming to complementary medicine in general,
and to homeopaty in particular.
The American Institute of Homeopathy, its Board of Trustees and its membership look toward a
bright future for themselves and for the public whom they serve as they dedicate themselves
to their mission statement, "Advancing Health Care through Homeotherapeutics".

The Royal London Homeopathic Hospital (RLHH)
For 150 years the Royal London
Homoeopathic Hospital has been the leading complementary medicine provider in
the United Kingdom and is the biggest public sector hospital in Europe in the
field of integrated complementary and alternative medicine.
Homeopathy remains its central
pillar, but many other therapies form an integral part of the service it
provides. The hospital plays a vital role in the growing demand for
complementary medical education and has also invested a great deal of research
effort into new techniques and therapies in complementary medicine.
The Royal London Homoeopathic
Hospital, the leading centre for complementary medicine in the NHS (National
Health Service), joined UCLH (University College London Hospitals) in April
2002. The merger enables closer collaboration between complementary therapies
and conventional medicine with the aim of providing better care for NHS
patients. The merger coincides with the government’s commitment to integrate
complementary and conventional care in the NHS, which bears witness to the
effectiveness of complementary therapies.
The RLHH has recently undergone
complete renovation at a cost of £20 million to transform it into a center for
integrated medicine. Work on the new Queen’s Square centre began in the summer
of 2002. The new hospital provides state-of-the-art care and research
facilities in homeopathic and complementary therapies as well as access to a
wide range of expertise in the other university hospitals.
The new RLHH center incorporates
existing approaches and tests the effectiveness of new ones, including ambulatory
care; inpatient and outpatient consulting rooms; diagnostic services; therapy
and treatment areas; training, conference and research facilities; retail
outlets and pharmacies.

Central Council for Research in Homeopathy (CCRH)
Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy (CCRH) is the premier research organization for Homoeopathy of the Govt. of India under
Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Department of AYUSH, has recently completed 25 years of the its existence.
It has evolved into with a network of 37 institutes/units located in different parts
of India with the following mandate:
· To initiate, develop, undertake and coordinate scientific research in fundamental and applied aspects of Homoeopathy.
· To exchange information with other institutions, associations and societies interested in the objectives similar to those of the Council.
· To collaborate research studies with other Institutes of Excellence towards promotion of Homoeopathy.
The research programmes of the Council broadly encompass Drug Standardisation studies (Physico-chemical,
Pharmacognostic and Pharmacologic studies), Drug Proving, Clinical Verification, Clinical Research,
Fundamental/Basic Research and Literary Research. The areas of research programmes have been so
chosen that the outcome of the research can benefit the common man and also aid in clinical
practice of Homoeopathy thereby benefiting the profession.
The Council has in its clinical research programme laid emphasis to the diseases important
from national health point of view. In order to attain quality research, protocols have been
designed on the lines of modern science without compromising with the doctrines of Homoeopathy.
Due importance has also been given to provide medical aid, by way of research, to the people
living in rural, tribal and far-flung areas.
Since Evidence Based Research is the need of the hour, the Council has also taken up Collaborative / Fundamental research jointly
with the Institutes of Excellence in allied sciences More over there is need to explore the
mechanism of action of Homoeopathic medicines.
In order to convince the votaries of conventional science, in-vivo and in-vitro studies are essential to show that Homoeopathic medicines
in high dilutions do possess biological activity. Council is moving in these directions.
